Eddie was born in the hill country of Eastern Kentucky. When he was a teenager, his family moved to Mansfield, Ohio. Eddie began performing in the Toledo, Ohio area in 1972. He performed each summer for over 20 years at Put-In-Bay, one of Ohio's most popular vacation spots.
Eddie's music career has allowed him to be an opening act for and share the stage with such great performers as Lee Greenwood, Tom T. Hall, Ralph Stanley, The Kingston Trio, Peter Yarrow, Livingston Taylor, The New Christy Minstrels, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and The Mamas and Papas.
In addition to his public and private performances, Eddie has recorded five albums, written a
children's book and a full length musical. He hosted a young people's program and specials for
years, and has made numerous on local radio and television. Eddie has written well over 100 songs, jingles and promos for media and corporate clients. His promo, "Keep Jeep In Toledo", aired on area radio and television stations, was considered to be one of the motivating factors for Chrysler's decision to keep the new Jeep plant in Toledo. Eddie received special recognition from Toledo's City Government for his contribution.
